# Configure your business in Leara

> Set up your company details and plan your store and warehouse structure before connecting systems and importing products.

Give Leara the right foundation from the start. This guide covers checking your company details and planning how stores and warehouses should connect before you attach systems and start working with products and orders.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Check your company details">
    Have your company name, organization number, address, and contact details ready when you go through the basic settings. Use clear and consistent names so the business and its parts are easy to recognize as more people start working in Leara.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Assign a setup owner">
    Appoint one person to coordinate the configuration. Involve colleagues from store, warehouse, and administration to make sure the setup matches how you actually work. Also decide who needs to be involved when the business system is connected and data is verified.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Plan your stores and warehouses">
    List the locations where you sell, store, and ship goods. This can be a central warehouse, a physical store, or several stores with their own stock levels. The structure should make it clear where goods are and where work is performed. A store can be both a sales location and a place where orders are picked.

    Choose names that are easy to tell apart, such as "Central Warehouse", "Store Gothenburg", and "Store Stockholm". Use names already used in your business if possible.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Separate sales channel from warehouse location">
    The sales channel shows where an order comes from. The warehouse location shows where the goods are. They do not have to be the same place. An order from e-commerce can be picked from the central warehouse or a store. Keep both sales and physical goods handling in mind when planning the structure.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check what already exists in your business system">
    If warehouses already exist in your business system, check what is imported when the integration is connected. This helps you avoid creating the same warehouse in multiple places.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Before you continue

You do not need to have the entire business fully configured at this stage. The important thing is that the company details are reviewed and that you have a clear picture of which stores and warehouses should be included.

When the foundation is ready, the next step is to connect your business system. After that, you can verify imported details and finalize the setup of stores and warehouses.
