# Install the Leara app

> Install the Leara mobile app, log in, and prepare your device for scanning and daily warehouse or store workflows.

Take Leara to where your goods are. Install the Leara app on your mobile device so you can work close to products and use scanning in the workflows supported by your app version and device.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Install and log in">
    Use the installation link or distribution channel provided by Leara or your administrator. Check that the app supports your device operating system and that you are installing the version your business should use.

    Open the app and follow the login instructions. Have your login credentials ready and make sure the device has an internet connection at first startup.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check your access">
    Make sure you can enter the right business and have access to the features you need for your work. If anything is missing, ask your administrator to check your access before you start registering data. Which parts you can use depends on your permissions and what is available in the app.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Prepare the device for work">
    Check that the device is charged and has a working connection where it will be used. Go through the workflow you will start with and make sure the right products and warehouse locations are available.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enable camera for scanning">
    If you will use camera-based scanning, the app needs access to the camera. Approve the permission when requested, or check it in the device settings. Test scanning a product with a clear barcode and make sure the right item is identified before you use scanning in a live workflow.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check offline support">
    Do not assume all features work offline. Check what is supported for the workflow and app version you are using. If you will work without a connection, know which data must be on the device in advance and how results are synchronized when the connection returns. Make sure the transfer is complete before the work is considered finished.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Test before going live

Do a limited test together with the person responsible for the setup. Use an agreed test dataset so you do not accidentally change real stock levels or ongoing orders.

Check that:

* You can log in to the right business.
* You have access to the workflows you need.
* The right products and warehouse locations are available.
* Scanning identifies the right item.
* Registered data transfers and can be verified in Leara.

When the test works, the device is ready for daily work. The next step is to test how the whole flow connects from order to delivery.
