# Test your first order flow in Leara

> Run a controlled test order from sales channel to fulfillment to verify your setup before going live.

Check that your setup works in practice before you start working live. Follow a test order from the sales channel into Leara, through pick and pack, and on to shipping booking. This confirms that the information is correct and that your team knows what to do.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Prepare a controlled test">
    Choose a simple setup: an order with a few known items that are at a specific warehouse location. Note the stock level before you begin so changes can be tracked.

    Make sure the connections that should be included are configured and that participants have the right access.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Decide what the test may affect">
    Check whether the connected systems offer test modes and how these work together. Do not assume that a test order in one system is automatically treated as a test in the next.

    If you test in the regular environment, decide in advance how payment, customer messages, invoicing, and shipping should be handled. Use contact details you control and avoid accidentally ordering a pickup or sending a real shipment.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Follow the order into Leara">
    Create the test order in the sales channel you want to check. Wait until it has arrived in Leara and compare the details before proceeding.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check order and inventory">
    Make sure items, quantities, and delivery details are correct. Also check that the sales channel is shown and that the order has not come in multiple times.

    Go through which warehouse location the order should be picked from. Check how reservations and available stock are affected according to your setup.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick, pack, and prepare shipping">
    Follow the pick flow you will use daily. Check the right item and quantity, and test scanning if it is part of your workflow.

    Continue to packing and check the recipient, package details, and shipping service. Only carry out a shipping booking if it is part of the agreed test. Also check the label and any tracking information.

    Follow the order status during the work and make sure the next person in the flow can understand what is done and what remains.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the results">
    After the test, compare the result in Leara with the connected systems. Check the transfers that are part of your integration. Not everything needs to be synchronized to all systems.

    Verify that:

    * The order came in once with the right details.
    * The right items and quantities were picked from the right warehouse location.
    * Stock levels and reservations changed as expected.
    * Order status matches the work performed.
    * Shipping booking and label were correct, if included.
    * Expected data was forwarded to e-commerce and the business system.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Wrap up the test

Finish by handling the test order according to each system's routines. Check any bookings, payments, and inventory changes separately. Canceling the order in one system may not restore the entire flow.

If anything deviates, document the step and investigate the cause before testing again. When the basic flow works, you can move on to more scenarios such as multiple warehouse locations or partial deliveries, depending on what your setup supports.
