# Connect your online store to Leara

> Connect your e-commerce platform to Leara to unify products, inventory, and orders from the customer's purchase through warehouse fulfillment.

Connect your online store to Leara so web orders become part of the same operational flow as your other channels. Once connected, product information, inventory levels, and orders sync between your e-commerce platform and Leara.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Prepare your store">
    Make sure your products and warehouse locations are set up in Leara before connecting. Verify that you have admin access to your e-commerce platform and that an integration is available for your platform. Check how the integration matches articles, especially for products with variants like sizes or colors.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Connect the store">
    Follow the connection guide for your e-commerce platform and approve the access required. Make sure the connection applies to the correct store. Leara supports platforms such as **Shopify**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Decide where product data lives">
    Clarify which fields are maintained in Leara and which in the e-commerce platform. Check which fields sync and in which direction. This prevents colleagues from editing the same data in two places.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose supplying warehouses">
    Select which warehouse locations should feed inventory availability to the online store. Check how the integration handles stock levels and reservations. Physical stock may already be reserved for other orders and therefore not available for new purchases.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Test with a controlled order">
    Start with a small product selection and a test order. Make sure the test does not trigger a real payment or shipment. Verify that the correct store is connected, products and variants map to the right articles, inventory information matches, the test order arrives in Leara with correct items and quantities, and the sales channel and delivery details come through.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What syncs

* **Products and variants**: Product information syncs based on the integration's supported fields and direction.
* **Inventory levels**: Stock availability from selected warehouses feeds the online store.
* **Orders**: Web orders flow into Leara with items, quantities, sales channel, and delivery details.

## Common problems

* **Products do not match**: Check article numbers and variant mappings before the first transfer. Clear names help, but are not a guarantee of correct linking.
* **Inventory looks wrong**: Verify which warehouses are connected and how reservations affect available stock.
* **Test order triggers real shipment**: Plan the test carefully. Use test modes or sandbox environments where your platform supports them.
