# Import products into Leara

> Bring your assortment into Leara by importing or syncing products from your connected business system, then verify and prepare them for daily use.

Bring your assortment into Leara from your connected business system. A clean product register is the foundation for shared product information and the next steps with inventory and orders.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Prepare your product register">
    Make sure your business system is connected to the right company. Review which product details the integration covers. If products were already imported during setup, move straight to verifying the imported data.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check article numbers and names">
    Article numbers make it easier to identify and compare products across systems. Confirm that articles have correct numbers and clear names. Remove duplicates and outdated articles in the source system before importing.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Import or sync products">
    Follow the import or sync instructions for your connected business system. Which details come over depends on the integration's support and configuration. Wait until the transfer is complete before reviewing or editing imported products.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify a sample">
    Start with a few products you know well. Compare the details in Leara with your business system and confirm that:

    * Article numbers and names match.
    * The product details covered by the integration came over.
    * No unexpected duplicates were created.
    * Any missing articles can be explained.

    If something looks off, check the integration scope and settings before creating replacement articles manually or repeating the import.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Separate product data from stock levels">
    A product existing in Leara does not mean its stock level is already controlled. Product data describes the article, while stock levels show how many are available at each warehouse. Review the product register now; warehouses and opening balances are handled in the next setup step.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete the product information">
    When the import is verified, review what information needs to be added, such as product groups, attributes, images, or how variants should be organized. Decide where each detail will be maintained and how future syncs will affect it. You do not need to finish the whole assortment at once; start with a small selection you can use when testing your first order flow.
  </Step>
</Steps>
